The end of summer is coming soon and classes are starting up again! Are you going to start an ESL, cooking or craft class, or maybe a new exercise or sport? On the first day, you probably will need to talk with the teacher and other students. If you are nervous, here are some convenient phrases to use for introductions and initial small talk. Good luck!

Hint: The key to continuing a conversation in America is to talk about yourself. That’s what we do. Although you can practice asking questions, it’s also good to be able to talk about yourself, even if the other person doesn’t ask you questions. It will keep the conversation going.
ヒント：アメリカ人との会話を長く続けるコツは、自分のことについて話すことです。これは私たち、アメリカ人がやっていることです。また、質問をする練習や聞かれていなくても、自分の事について話す練習をする事もいいでしょう。こうすれば話を長く続ける事ができるでしょう。
