A) I’m Batman! / I’m a ghost! (If the parent talks: She’s a princess. / He’s Dracula.)

A) Thank you!
* Note that we don’t say, “What’s your costume?” or “What do you wear?” For future tense, you would say, “What will you be for Halloween?” “I will be Wonder Woman!”

A) Yes, we do. The U-Pick counter for that is over there.
B) Okay, thank you.
* Note that we don’t say, “pick up apples.” If you did that, you would be picking them up off of the ground! Other sentences are, “Let’s go apple-picking!” “I love apple-picking!”

Autumn Colors and Leaves
A) So, where are you going to go see the fall colors?
B) Well, I’m going to check the fall foliage map for Michigan to find the best places.* You?
A) We just like to drive around and view the autumn colors in the neighborhood. We can even see it from our house because we have a beautiful tree in our front yard!
B) Yes, but you also have to do a lot of leaf raking, too.
A) Yeah, it’s not fun. But my kids like to jump in the leaf pile!
