This is usually the first question Japanese people have, since it’s an important part of Japanese society but it is not used in American culture.
However, if you want to say it, the long version is: “I would like to say thank you in advance for ….”
The short and best version is: “Thank you for …!” Easiest version is “Thank you!”
You can say “Thank you for…” at the beginning or the end of an event. At the end, it means “Osewa ni narimashita” in Japanese.
